Samhain - Rosemary

Rosemary
“All of the changes in my life are positive and empowering. Everyday I am transforming myself into a more positive being.”

The oil of transition, Rosemary helps us to see our place in the bigger picture of life and to move forward with clarity, knowledge and deep understanding.

Appearing to die in the Winter, Rosemary comes to life again in the Spring, allowing us to see the root of a problem and not just what is apparent on the surface.

Rosemary stimulates memory, helping us to recall the past, while at the same time opening the conscious mind to fresh perspective.

Rosemary gives us the ability to evolve, adjust and go with the flow of life, releasing us from stagnation and restrictive thinking.

Interestingly, when used on the head, Rosemary rejuvenates the scalp and encourages new hair growth - an outward expression of our inner state of mind.

Prized as a sacred plant by many civilisations, Rosemary was used to drive away evil Spirits and protect against plague and infectious illnesses. Rosemary enhances the immune, respiratory and nervous systems and is considered to be antibacterial, anti fungal, anti inflammatory and anti cancerous.

Rosemary oil can be diffused, used topically and ingested. Dilute as needed in a carrier oil for sensitive skin. To take internally, place 1 drop under the tongue or in a capsule. Add small amounts to cooking wherever you would use fresh Rosemary, 1 cup of fresh Rosemary is equivalent to 1 drop of Rosemary essential oil
